The garden is starting to offer some promise. Tulips are pushing their way up through the soil, and the hundred crocuses that I planted back in November are stretching their little green stems up to the sun. Nothing in this world compares to the hope that the slow steady rousing of spring life spurs.Like the flowers in the garden, the new essay changes daily, almost imperceptibly. Measured development, but visible at the end of the week.

Beautiful photo, beautiful words! I keep staring at my little sproutlings willing them to bloom.
Everything out here is starting to bloom too- so beautiful, little purple flowers sprouting in the ground cover & the dogwood's just beginning to get new leaves. It's amazing up here in the spring. We need it after the dull gray winter
